’68

This interview is actually almost a couple months old now, but still worth a mention. Speaking to Yanet Aguilar Sosa, Vicente Leñero briefly mentioned some progress on the script for México ‘68. Even with translation help from the IMDb forum (thanks), it’s hard to tell if a draft is finished yet but the project is still on hold… which is not hard to imagine as the director (Cuarón) has four or more projects lined up for the near future, alongside his responsibilities to the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers. Read more.

I mention this maybe progress as a segue to linking the blog Le labyrinthe de la solitude, credited to Fernandomachine, which I came across through a news feed for Cuarón. I don’t know what to say about him really, except that he is city… I think.

Also, more words from Deepa Mehta at the Expresión en Corto festival, feeling completely at home in Mexico, here.
