Morelia and Raindance awards

Los Bastardos wins best picture at Morelia, reports John Hecht for the Hollywood Reporter. The film about two Mexican immigrants in Los Angeles was directed by Amat Escalante and produced by Carlos Reygadas’ company Mantarraya.

Best documentary – Trazando Aleida (Christiane Burkhard)
Audience award – Cinco días sin Nora (Mariana Chenillo)
Best fiction short – La canción de los niños muertos (David Pablos)
Best animated short – Jacinta (Karla Castañeda)
Best documentary short – Zoogocho (Bernardo Arellano)
